ChatLuck is a business chat from NEOJAPAN Inc., a company listed on the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Aimed at government agencies, financial and medical institutions, it comes as a per-user cloud edition with a minimum user count or as a package edition. Both have a free trial but no free plan.

For networks cut off from the internet, a relay server in the package edition passes only harmless data, such as text chat, to the internal network. This blocks malware and file leaks. Calls and screen sharing are unavailable in this setup.

Administrators can restrict features by department or job title, read every message and file, and limit access to registered devices.

The package edition runs on Windows Server or Linux and works on closed networks such as the Local Government Wide Area Network (LGWAN). It is a perpetual license by user count, with annual support from the second year and separate licenses for extra servers.

Users sign in with their corporate identity through SAML. NEOJAPAN’s groupware desknet’s NEO shares single sign-on and user data with ChatLuck.

A chatbot API lets other systems control bots through webhooks and a Web API.

ChatGPT can join rooms through OpenAI or Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service, with a separately contracted API key. NEOJAPAN states that input is not used for training.

The iOS app’s App Store listing names English as a supported language.
