JPKI (Public Personal Authentication Service)
QES
JPKI (Public Personal Authentication Service) is Japan’s government-backed system for digital identity verification and legally binding electronic signatures. Built around the MyNumber card, it lets individuals sign documents digitally and access government services such as e-Tax, e-Gov, and MyPortal.
QES
JPKI provides the strongest level of electronic signature recognized under Japanese law. The MyNumber card holds secure certificates that protect each signature from tampering, giving it the same legal weight as a handwritten signature.
JPKI is not a typical SaaS or business-oriented signing service. It is designed for government procedures and official documents, rather than private-sector contract workflows.
