QES

JPKI (Public Personal Authentication Service) is Japan’s government-backed system for digital identity verification and legally binding electronic signatures. Built around the MyNumber card, it enables individuals to digitally sign documents and access government services such as e-Tax, e-Gov, and MyPortal.

QES
JPKI provides Qualified Electronic Signatures under Japanese law, offering the highest level of legal enforceability for digital signatures. JPKI provides a high-trust authentication mechanism using cryptographic certificates embedded in the MyNumber card, ensuring signatures are tamper-proof and legally equivalent to handwritten signatures.

JPKI is not a typical SaaS or business-oriented electronic signature service. It is intended for use in government procedures and official documents, rather than private-sector contract workflows.
