CloudSign, operated by Bengo4.com, is a cloud-based electronic signature and contract management platform widely used by businesses and government agencies in Japan. It supports PDF signing, workflow automation, centralized document storage, and integration with business systems. The platform is SLA-backed, secure, and offers a web API for enterprise integration.

By default, CloudSign provides Advanced Electronic Signatures (AES) with email verification, audit trails, timestamps, and cryptographic signing, fully compliant with Japan’s Act on Electronic Signatures and Certification Business.

As of April 2025, CloudSign also supports Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) when used with a MyNumber card. This offers the highest level of legal enforceability under Japanese law, but must be explicitly configured and is not part of the default workflow.

CloudSign supports English and Chinese (simplified and traditional) for recipient-facing interfaces and email notifications. The sender-facing dashboard remains primarily in Japanese.
