Sakura VPS is a virtual private server service from Sakura Internet, one of Japan’s most established domestic internet infrastructure providers. It offers a stable hosting environment for beginners, developers, and businesses running WordPress sites, game servers, and custom Linux workloads.

Three domestic regions (Osaka, Tokyo, and Ishikari) let customers pick for latency, availability, or cost. All plans include SSD storage and root access. Preset setup options cover WordPress, Minecraft, Docker, and remote desktop, so first-time users can skip most of the manual configuration. A two-week free trial is available when paying by credit card.

Backup and restore run through Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, available from the marketplace. Users install the agent and manage backup plans from the control panel, with an optional Advanced Pack that adds antivirus and malware scanning.

A separate product, Sakura VPS for Windows Server, ships preinstalled Windows Server plans for remote desktop, .NET applications, and other Windows-only software.

The control panel and support are primarily in Japanese, though parts of the corporate site and documentation are available in English.
