Simple Monitor is a cloud-based monitoring service from Sakura Internet that checks the operational status of servers and websites. The service monitors availability through ping, HTTP/HTTPS status checks, and TCP port monitoring, with alerts for SSL certificate expiration and billing thresholds.
You can configure monitoring when creating servers in the Sakura Cloud control panel. The service supports protocols including ping, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, SSH, SMTP, POP3, FTP, FTPS, and SNMP, with check intervals from one to 60 minutes. Response times are recorded and displayed in graphs for most protocols.
Notifications include email and webhooks for Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, IFTTT, and Zapier. Down detection occurs after three consecutive failures, with configurable retry counts and intervals. The service integrates with Monitoring Suite for long-term log storage and analysis.
