WowTalk is a business chat and internal social network from KINGSOFT JAPAN, INC. Its per-ID pricing is aimed at companies giving every employee an account, part-time and contract staff included.

Standard-plan administrators can turn about 40 features on or off per person and restrict devices and IP addresses. A patented partition feature limits who can reach whom, and the admin console supports two-step verification.

Every plan includes a bulletin board, kanban task boards, daily reports and anonymous harassment reporting. Safety confirmation, linked to the Japan Meteorological Agency, sends check-in requests automatically, and push-to-talk turns phones into walkie-talkies.

Phone and email support, based in Japan, comes with every plan. There is no free plan, only a Standard-plan free trial. Sign-up is not self-service: contracts are annual, cover a minimum number of accounts and go through a seal-stamped form returned as a PDF.

WowTalk AI, a ChatGPT-based assistant, is free on both plans with some exceptions. It answers from uploaded company documents through retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and each employee can have a personal one.

Messages are translated automatically into each reader’s language, across 22 languages.

From the Standard plan, an API connects outside services such as Google and KING OF TIME, for a separately quoted fee.

SSO lets staff sign in through HENNGE One, an enterprise cloud security service.

The interface comes in English and Simplified Chinese. The App Store listing adds Vietnamese.
