TeamOn is cloud groupware for small and medium-sized businesses from Flexion Consulting Inc., based in Fukuoka. It combines shared schedules, task management, business chat, a bulletin board and file sharing on PCs and smartphones.
Scheduling is at the center. A timetable view lines up everyone’s plans, and separate calendars book meeting rooms, company cars and other equipment. The Business plans add two-way sync with Google Calendar. The calendar can also show rokuyo, the six-day cycle of lucky and unlucky days on Japanese calendars.
Chat covers one-to-one and group conversations with read receipts, voice messages, reactions and polls that tally answers automatically. One-to-one video and voice calls are built in. A group chat can forward its messages to a Slack channel through a Slack incoming webhook.
Tasks carry priorities, due dates and statuses and have their own chat. Administrators can allow access only from specific IP addresses, and login supports two-step authentication. Deleting a user also deletes that user’s schedules, tasks, files and messages.
Sign-up is self-service, and the free trial is not charged automatically when it ends. Paid plans are fixed tiers by number of users, with per-user pricing between tiers and larger organizations by inquiry. Payment is by PayPal or by invoice.
