Linkit Chat is a business chat service from ACCESS Co., Ltd., a company listed on the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. It belongs to the Linkit Apps suite of cloud services and keeps to core business features at a low monthly price per user ID.
Messages show how many members have not read them yet. Users can send stickers, PDFs and photos, and can make voice calls to anyone in the Linkit contact book or a chat room. Groups send one message to a whole department at once. Members sign in from the mobile app, a tablet or a PC.
The vendor states that financial institutions also use its security measures, and its site displays ISO 27001 certification. Phone support is available.
The Linkit brand also covers location sharing (Linkit Maps), attendance management and GPS tracking for field work, and every Linkit Maps plan includes the chat. Case studies include a city council reaching its members and a delivery business sharing orders with staff on the road.
There is no free plan, only a free trial that starts from a self-service web form. To continue, the customer applies for a paid contract, and trial data is deleted if no application arrives within a set period. Registered users have no cap, but the paid plan requires a minimum number of IDs, accepts credit cards only and gives no refunds. Customers are responsible for backing up their own data.
