Chat&Messenger is groupware from Chat&Messenger Inc. that adds web meetings, schedules, facility booking, file sharing and attendance tracking to business chat. It comes as a cloud service, an on-premises server called CAMServer, and a serverless LAN desktop app compatible with IP Messenger.

The cloud edition is single-tenant on every plan. Each company’s database and attachments are encrypted with a key it specifies and kept in Japanese data centers. Paid cloud and CAMServer plans require a minimum user count and an annual contract.

The cloud Free plan limits users, history, uploads and web meetings, and excludes support. The LAN app also has a free version.

CAMServer runs on the company intranet. Higher plans add Active Directory integration and mobile access, and the Ultimate plan adds redundancy, load balancing and Linux support. The first year carries a setup fee.

On CAMServer Ultimate, Windows integrated authentication (Kerberos) signs Active Directory users in to the chat automatically. The cloud edition does not list SSO.

Cloud Enterprise and higher plans and CAMServer Ultimate include an API.

Ultimate plans on cloud and CAMServer add an assistant that answers questions from company data, drafting and proofreading of posts, thread summaries, web meeting minutes and code review.

Requests and approvals run inside the chat, on no-code drag-and-drop forms with templates and several approval routes.
