MapFan API is a corporate map platform from GeoTechnologies, built on one of Japan’s largest car navigation datasets. It provides map rendering, geocoding, traffic-aware route search, and map matching that snaps GPS points to the nearest road to correct positioning errors.

The API can be accessed through a direct enterprise contract or through RapidAPI, where a free BASIC plan lets developers start testing on the same day. An optional add-on provides pedestrian traffic volume data broken down by demographics.

Route search accounts for vehicle height, weight, and hazardous material restrictions used in logistics and fleet management.

Map labels can be displayed in multiple languages, covering English, Chinese, and Korean for tourism and multilingual service interfaces.
