Ekispert API is a public transportation API from Val Laboratory, one of Japan’s longest-running transit data providers. It lets other systems search routes, calculate fares, and compare commuter pass costs across rail, bus, ferry, and air networks nationwide.

The API is designed for expense reimbursement tools, real estate “commute time” searches, and job listing portals. Val Laboratory also offers an MCP server that lets AI agents call route search and fare functions directly. A free evaluation period is available, and smaller-scale access can be purchased through Amazon.

Routes can combine train, bus, and walking segments in a single query. Area search returns all stations reachable within a given time from a starting point.
