Sakura Cloud DNS is a managed DNS hosting service from Sakura Internet, one of Japan’s most established hosting and cloud companies. It supports a wide range of record types and offers private zones for managing internal hostnames that are only visible within a private network.

ALIAS records let users point a root domain straight to a CDN, load balancer, or Sakura Cloud’s own traffic distribution services, bypassing the usual restriction that only subdomains can use CNAME-style redirects.

DNS records can be managed through an official Terraform provider, a REST API, and the usacloud command-line tool for scripted and automated workflows.
