Smart Connect Cloud DNS Service is a managed DNS hosting service from NTT SmartConnect Corporation, part of the NTT Group. It offers several plan types: primary DNS, backup DNS that mirrors a customer-run server, and reverse lookup for mapping IP addresses back to hostnames.

The primary plan assigns multiple nameservers per zone for redundancy, and places custom domain zones on separate server groups from subdomain zones to reduce the risk of domain hijacking. A scheduled publishing feature lets operators queue DNS changes to go live at a chosen date and time. Previous record states are saved and can be restored through rollback.

Sub-accounts can be linked to specific zones, letting different team members or site operators manage only the zones they are responsible for. The service supports a wide range of record types including CAA, NAPTR, HTTPS, and SRV.
