ConoHa DNS is a basic managed DNS hosting service provided by ConoHa by GMO, one of Japan’s major hosting and cloud providers. It allows users to configure authoritative DNS records through a simple web interface or via API, and works with domains registered at any registrar by updating the domain’s nameservers.

While the service supports standard record types such as A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, and SRV, it does not currently support ALIAS or ANAME records, making it less suitable for root-domain CDN integration.

DNSSEC is also not supported, so users with strong security or compliance requirements may prefer a more feature-rich DNS provider. That said, ConoHa DNS remains a practical choice for straightforward DNS setups and integration with other ConoHa services.
