Z.com Cloud is a public cloud for businesses from GMO Internet, Inc. It offers Linux and Windows virtual servers, storage, private networks, load balancers and security services. The service is closing, so read the Limitations section before planning a new deployment.

Every virtual server includes automatic failover. If its physical machine fails, the server restarts on another one with the same IP address. Servers are billed by the hour up to a monthly ceiling.

Teams that need whole machines can also rent dedicated hosts or all-flash bare metal servers from the same control panel. Companies can resell the platform under their own brand.

An API that follows OpenStack, a widely used open-source cloud platform, lets teams add, delete and configure servers, storage and networks as they would in the control panel. It also handles machine images, so routine setup can be scripted.

The control panel can switch to English, but the website, guides and support are in Japanese.

Only corporations can sign up. Customers submit an online form, then complete a formal application that a sales representative emails to them.

Limitations

GMO Internet will end Z.com Cloud, including all features and options, on June 30, 2027. Customer data cannot be accessed after that date, so customers need to back up their data and move to another provider before then.
