KAGOYA CLOUD is a cloud server service from KAGOYA JAPAN Inc., now sold as KAGOYA FLEX Cloud Server. It runs virtual servers on Nutanix, which pools the computing power and storage of many machines into one cluster. Customers pay a flat monthly fee, and data transfer is not charged.
Ordering starts with a quote request, not an online sign-up. After a consultation with a dedicated representative, KAGOYA issues a FLEX Portal account where the customer reviews the quote and configuration diagram and places the order. A free evaluation trial is available on application.
KAGOYA also helps move servers from on-premises machines or other clouds and does the initial setup of networks and firewalls. Customers get administrator access and manage the operating system themselves.
The Standard series includes high availability (HA): if a physical host fails, its servers restart automatically on another host. The Lite series leaves out HA to cut costs and can be upgraded to Standard while running.
Servers run in Keihanna Lab, KAGOYA’s own data center in Kyoto Prefecture, which has a base-isolated building against earthquakes and on-site staff around the clock. Phone and email support is available at all hours. Customers can also bring in their own carrier line or VPN router.
