f-FILTER is a secure file transfer service from Digital Arts Inc. focused on data loss prevention (DLP). It automatically inspects outgoing files for personal information, credit card numbers, My Number identifiers, and confidentiality markings before they leave the organization, with high accuracy for Japanese-language content and Japan-specific data formats.

The service combines five information leak prevention functions: a DLP engine, file assessment scoring, supervisor approval workflows, antivirus scanning, and file viewing permission management that lets senders revoke download access even after sending. It is ISMAP registered for government use, and integrates with Digital Arts’ i-FILTER (web security) and m-FILTER (email security) products for network-wide DLP coverage. The m-FILTER integration automatically routes email attachments through f-FILTER, replacing the need for password-protected ZIP files sent by email (PPAP).
