Yahoo! JAPAN Mail is a free email service from LY Corporation, available to anyone with a Yahoo! JAPAN ID. It provides a large-capacity mailbox on the @yahoo.co.jp or @ymail.ne.jp domain, with all data stored in domestic Japanese data centers.

The dedicated mobile app can pull in messages from Gmail and major Japanese carrier email accounts, so users can manage everything in one place. It can also create calendar events automatically from booking confirmation emails, and the interface supports customizable themes. Custom domain email is not available as a standard feature.

The browser-based interface works on both desktop and mobile, with built-in spam filtering and optional virus checking.
