IIJ GIO Content Acceleration Service is a cloud-based CDN from Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ), one of the country’s most established internet infrastructure providers. It caches web content on servers connected directly to IIJ’s core network, delivering pages quickly to users across Japan.

The service uses straightforward pay-as-you-go billing with no setup fee and no minimum contract, making it easy to start small. It can also speed up dynamically generated pages, which helps e-commerce sites and booking systems that build pages on the fly. Configuration and cache management are available through both a control panel and an API.

DDoS
The service can be paired with IIJ’s DDoS protection to shield origin servers from large-scale traffic attacks. This requires a separate contract.

WAF
A managed Web Application Firewall is available to block common web-based threats like unauthorized database queries and malicious scripts. This also requires a separate contract.
