COCCHi is a smartphone car navigation app from Pioneer, drawing on the technology behind its Carrozzeria line of in-vehicle navigation systems. It provides detailed intersection illustrations, recommended lane guidance, and route learning that adapts to frequently traveled roads.
A standout area is its “Driver Assist” suite, which lets drivers search for parking lots (with availability and fee estimates), gas stations (with fuel price comparisons), and nearby restrooms with detailed filtering options. The app also includes speed camera alerts and live traffic data (via Japan’s VICS broadcast system) on paid plans.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available on paid plans. An optional Zenrin housing map add-on shows detailed building and lot-level information, which is useful for delivery and field service work. Note that COCCHi requires a constant data connection and does not support offline navigation.
