ELYZA Works is a no-code AI application builder from ELYZA Inc., a startup spun out of the University of Tokyo’s Matsuo Laboratory. Staff describe a task in plain Japanese, and the platform writes the prompts and a simple form-based interface for them, turning routine work into a usable AI app within minutes. It is aimed at teams that want to adopt AI without a dedicated development group.

The platform pairs ELYZA’s own Japanese-tuned language models with overseas models and picks whichever one suits each task. Once an app is built, teams can share it across the organization, set per-user permissions, and review usage logs. The same service is also offered through KDDI as ELYZA Works with KDDI, which adds enterprise rollout support.

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) lets apps answer questions using a company’s own documents rather than general knowledge alone. By grounding responses in internal manuals, policies, and records, the tool keeps answers specific to the business and reduces made-up replies.

The interface is built around Japanese, but English is handled when an app runs on one of the overseas models, so teams working across both languages can use it.

ELYZA holds Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification, and the service is built to meet the security expectations of financial institutions and government bodies.
